At approximately 1:10 pm Wednesday, emergency responders were paged to a motorcycle accident at Mile Marker 63 on US Highway 30.
Sidney Volunteer Fire, Morrill County Ambulance Service, Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska Department of Transportation all responded to the accident.
The lead motorcycle slowed to make a left hand turn into a historical marker. The trailing motorcycle collided with the lead motorcycle.
The 74 year old rider of the trailing motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further information will be released pending notification of the family. The investigation is continuing.
