Olivia Loomis-Goltl finished with a game high 28 points and in the process tied her older sister, Ruthie, for all-time leading scorer honors in school history with 2,075 points!

Gordon-Rushville hung tough in the first half trailing at the break by just four points, 29-25. But in the third quarter it was a 26-14 run to blow the game open for the Bulldogs.

Ella Schluterbusch, Tacey From, and Grace Dean also scored in double figures for Bridgeport.

Trinity Taylor led Gordon-Rushville in scoring with 21 points.

Three seasons ago Bridgeport lost to eventual state champ Crofton in the semifinals, two years ago they got beat in the title game by Hastings St. Cecilia, and last year they lost in the semifinals to Adams Central.

Bridgeport will play their first game at state next Thursday.

Bayard falls in C2-4 Final

A tremendous season for the Bayard girls ended one step short of State Tournament as the Tigers got beat by Niobrara/Verdigre at Lexington High School on Friday night by the final of 51-39.

The game much closer throughout than the final score would indicate as Bayard trailed by only four points at halftime and it was just a two point game heading to the fourth quarter.

Lexi Fiscus led Bayard with 22 points as their season came to a close with a 22-4 record.
