Derrick Wells is a graduate of Doane College where he participated in football and track.
Derrick has taught in Alliance since 2015 where he has coached football, wrestling, and track at the middle school. During that time he has been the head coach for the Alliance Wrestling Club, the federation wrestling program in Alliance and has sat on the Alliance Wrestling Club board.
In 2020, Derrick completed his Master’s Degree in Coaching through Ohio University.
In 2020 he helped start the Alliance Middle School girls’ wrestling program as well as continued to coach the boys’ season and the club. Derrick has been a volunteer coach on the UNK Track and Field team. He has also coached wrestling at Loomis and Westside High School.
Derrick will be teaching Elementary PE.
