A Scottsbluff man who was facing seven felony charges across two cases has been sentenced after pleading no contest to amended charges.

19-year-old Aaron Wilder Jr. was arrested on January 8th after Wilder’s girlfriend went to the police department to report that he had assaulted her and later struck her car with his vehicle. Officers tracked down Wilder and initiated a traffic stop, which resulted in the discovery of marijuana; methamphetamine; several pills, a digital scale, and more than $1,000 in cash.

In June, he pleaded no contest to charges including Possession With intent to Distribute Marijuana, 3rd Degree Domestic Assault and Witness Tampering.

On Friday, District Judge Leo Dobrovolny sentenced him to 180 days in jail with two days credit for time already served, as well as 12 months of post release supervision.
