More time has been added on to a Scottsbluff man’s prison sentence following a plea deal last week in District Court.
Eric Escalera was arrested in October following an investigation where he had pointed a gun at a resident before fleeing in car, leading officers on a high speed pursuit, and crashing through a fence.
In December, he was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in prison after caught with more than an ounce of methamphetamine.
On Thursday in District Court, he pleaded guilty to charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest; Willful Reckless Driving; and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
Judge Leo Dobrovlony sentenced Escalera to 0 to 90 days on each of the three convictions, to be served concurrent to each other as well as concurrent to his 8 to 10 year prison sentence.
