Failure to shovel snow from the sidewalk results in criminal charges for a Scottsbluff man.

According to court records, officers were alerted that 50-year-old Tony McBride was sending threatening text messages and later called the Police department to verbally berate an officer.

Officers say on arrival at McBride’s home on Avenue F, they tried to cite him for the uncleared sidewalk. McBride is alleged to have threatened to kill one of the officers and spat in another officer’s face.

On Wednesday, he was arraigned on charges including Terroristic Threats, Assaulting an Officer with a Bodily Fluid, Resisting Arrest, and Disturbing the Peace.
