A 34-year-old Scottsbluff man is facing several felony charges after reportedly sending flirtatious messages to a 10-year-old girl and then bribing officers to let him go.

Scottsbluff Police were dispatched to a home on 11th Avenue for a disturbance, and made contact with Victor Galindo-Campos, who was pinned up against a wall by a group of individuals.

Court records say that he admitted he was sending Snapchat messages to the girl, and when she told her mother, family members tracked him down and beat him up.

During the investigation, Galindo-Campos initially showed a fake ID and offered officers $40,000 to just let him go.

He’s now facing charges including Enticement, Bribery, and False Reporting, and made his first appearance on the charges in Scotts Bluff County Court on Monday afternoon.
