VALENTINE – Are you ready to cultivate the future of farming and ranching? Join us on Wednesday, October 2, for a transformative “Beginning Farmer and Rancher Workshop” designed to equip young farmers and ranchers with essential skills to navigate the complexities of family operations. The event is free from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mid-Plains Community College in Valentine.

This workshop is perfect for young farmers, ranchers, and anyone interested in understanding their role in family operations. Whether you’re looking to take over a family farm or start a new venture, this event will provide valuable insights.

  • Family Communication: Gain effective strategies for discussing the transition of ownership and responsibilities within family farms and ranches.
  • Labor Management: Discover best practices for managing both family and hired help in a farm or ranch setting.
