The City of Scottsbluff is reminding the public that the Avenue B mill and overlay project from West
Overland north to 33 rd Street and West Overland between Avenue B and Avenue I is slated to begin this week.
The first phase of the project with Simon Contractors and Infinity Construction is to replace curb and gutter on Avenue B north with the contractor working in sections to keep disruptions to a minimum.
Construction will start by working from West Overland to the tracks on the east side and then come back on the west side before moving north to the next section.
No major closings are planned at this time but we ask that motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists use extreme caution when in and around the work zone.
The curb and gutter work is slated to take about 60 days to complete before the milling machine comes in to mill the surface, with the paving to follow.
