Authorities in Morrill County are investigating a reported two-vehicle fatal accident on U-S Highway 385 Tuesday afternoon in the Angora area.
Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas confirmed to KNEB News that two people had died as a result of the crash, but few other official details were available.
Preliminary, unconfirmed information indicated the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office, Bridgeport Fire and Morrill County ALS were dispatched to the scene about a quarter-mile north of the Highway L-62A junction around 12:45 p.m. for what was said to be a collision involving a dump truck and a pickup.
Law enforcement radio traffic included calls for the Morrill County Attorney TO come to the scene, and for an accident reconstructionist from NSP.
