No people were injured, but a total loss of a trailer home following a midday fire Monday in Morrill County.
Shortly after noon, the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department was paged to a structure fire in Northport near Highway 385.
Upon arrival, a trailer house was fully engulfed. Authorities tell KNEB News they were able to contain the fire to the one structure, which was a total loss. The family was not home at the time, however a litter of puppies did perished in the blaze.
Crews from Broadwater, Dalton and Alliance all responded to the scene, which was cleared at approximately 6 p.m.
Firefighter Ministry and Red Cross have been contacted to assist the family that was displaced, and the state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
