The summer reading program at the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library kicked off Tuesday morning with another massive crowd waiting to get signed up.
This year’s theme is ‘Adventure Begins at Your Library’, and a line wrapped around the library as the doors opened for registration promptly at 9 a.m.
The first 100 kids to get signed up this year received special prizes.
Librarian Assistant Liz Perez told KNEB News about some of things participants have to look forward to in this year’s program..
“We’re starting off with Theatre West is going to be performing in our park, we also have an adventure fair in our park. We’re going to the zoo, we are doing pool parties, having a lot of different performers. So it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
If you weren’t able to attend opening day, you can head on over to the library anytime to get signed up for this year’s program.
