The Lied Scottsbluff Public Library’s Fall Adult Reading Program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library”, kicked off its eight week run Monday. This program encourages adults in our community to read, use the library’s resources, and attend educational and entertaining events.
This year the libary is are using a Compass Game Card. The compass is divided into eight different adventure categories. Participants will read books, engage with others and use the library’s resources to complete Adventure Activities and Events for chances to win prizes which include a Fitbit Versa 4 Smartwatch, a Cosori Air Fryer, a GOODaaa Power Bank, a Sportneer Compass, a HPRT Portable Printer, two Midwest Theater Actor-Level Memberships, two passes to an author visit with Michael Punke, a Raynic Emergency Radio, and our grand prize: a $600 gift card to Sonny’s Bike Shop.
Adventure Events throughout the program include: an air fryer cooking class, classes on the library’s digital resources, chair yoga, movie night at the library, history of the Scotts Bluff Monument, a walking book club, a poetry walk, a book signing with William Kent Krueger, and a speaker from Humanities Nebraska, David Marsh, bringing us “Music of the Plains”.

Registration for the Adult Reading Program continues through October 18th.
