Peggy was born June 7, 1928 to George and Luella Tomlin in Cambridge, Nebraska. She graduated from Cambridge High School and attended Denver Business College. She married Dale Hecox in 1947. Dale and Peggy had 4 children, Kathryn (Bruce) Yost, Sue Orwen, Jane Ulrey, and Mark (Jill) Hecox. Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for an agricultural coop. She was a Sunday school teacher, Campfire Girls Leader, and Boy Scout Den Mother.

She and Dale loved to travel with their camper to 48 states. Peggy’s legacy is that of an excellent listener and encourager in time of need, always bringing Jesus into her conversation. When Dale retired in his 50’s, the couple moved to Texas and served as missionaries at a children’s home in Mexico.

Peggy lived at The Village for nearly 20 years following Dale’s passing…due to health issues, she found her home at Heritage Estates for the past 10 years. The Heritage Estates staff gave her beautiful loving care where she made many wonder friends.

Her 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren were her greatest loves.

Peggy was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and sister, and her sons-in-law Charles Orwen and Lyle Ulrey.

The family thanks every member of Heritage staff over the last ten years. She loved them and prayed for them daily.

We will miss you greatly, Momsie.
