Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Neuwirth, 61
July 4, 1962 - November 26, 2023

Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Neuwirth passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Mitchell Care Center at the age of 61. She faced the challenges of her battle with MS with courage and positivity. When asked, Vicki would always say, “I’m fine”.  A time of remembrance will be held from 5-8 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made by viewing Vicki’s memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Bridgman Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.

Vicki was born July 4, 1962, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff, NE to Richard and Carol Barnes, a welcome beautiful baby sister to three older brothers. She went on to graduate from Scottsbluff High School – Class of 1980.

Vicki married Kent Neuwirth on February 11, 1989, and their happy union brought two sons into the world, Dustin John and Jordan Richard. They made their home south of Gering, raising their family and working on their farm. Kent and Vicki were great partners and ensured they were active in their community. They participated as members of the Cedar Canyon School Board, also the dorm parent program for the WNCC men’s basketball program and were active members of Emmanuel Congressional Church.

Vicki loved her sons, her dogs, and her lawn—and not necessarily in that order—anyone who knew Vicki knew she cherished her dogs and took great pride in her lawn. But Vicki’s deepest devotion was to her family and friends, and the treasured memories they created, whether it was going to dinner with friends, making salsa, or a competitive game of Scrabble! Her passion for the cartoon Snoopy always brought a smile to her face.

Vicki was very fond of vacationing and loved to travel with her family, especially to Jackson Hole where she shared many memories over the years since childhood with her loved ones. Taking her young boys to Disneyland was also a cherished destination.

Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kent Neuwirth; father Richard Barnes; brother Gregory Barnes; in-laws Ed and Evelyn Neuwirth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Vicki is survived by her loving and dedicated mother Carol Barnes; devoted sons Dustin (Joslyn) Neuwirth, and Jordan Neuwirth; brothers Michael (Cynde) Barnes, and Robert (Monica) Barnes; nieces and nephew Meaghan Schultze (Dan), Travis Barnes, and Lauren Bally (Oscar); and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mitchell Care Center and acknowledge the loving kindness of the Kelley family.
