Velina was born on August 27th 1955 to Liz and Dwight Vance, in Torrington Wyoming. Velina passed away unexpectedly in her home on October 26th 2022. Velina worked at USPS Post Office in Gering for over 30 years. You could often find velina and her pets in her fairy garden at her house, playing pool with friends, and spending time with her loved ones. She had one Son, Aaron Rutan of Mitchell, Nebraska.
Velina is survived by her son Aaron Rutan, parents Liz and Dwight Vance; Brother Chuck (Gloria) Gibbs; Brother Darrell (Robyn) Vance; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Velina is Preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Rommey.
The Celebration of Life for Velina Jean Vance-Rutan will be November 26th 2022 at the Log Cabin in Gering at 4pm.
