A memorial service for Terry Lee Kohl, age 72, of Gering, Nebraska, who died December 22, 2022, will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Gering Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lyle Heimbauch officiating. Terry was born June 22, 1951, in Scottsbluff, to Henry and Jeannett (Thurman) Kohl, and received his early education from the Gering schools, graduating from Gering High School. He graduated from Western Nebraska Community College, May 13, 1977. Terry was united in marriage with Melvina Jean Malleck on February 28, 1997 at the Gering Court House, and they made their home in Gering. They were faithful members of Central Church of Christ in Gering.
Survivors include his brother, Harvey (Patti) Kohl; nieces, Kim Kohl and Nikki (Joe) Seaman; nephews, Shaun and Matt Kohl; 6 great-nieces and nephews; and step-daughter, Susan.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Melvina; parents, Henry and Jeanaette; and great-nephew, Austin.
