Terry L Uhrig, 52, passed away at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton, Florida on Thursday, March 9th, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp in Sidney.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh and Chappell is serving Terry’s family.
Terry was born in Fort Yats, North Dakota on September 11th, 1971. He was adopted in 1972 by Bill and Sharon Uhrig and they lived in McIntosh, South Dakota. In 1977, they moved to Sidney where Terry attended Sidney Public Schools and was able to participate in some of his favorite sports including wrestling and football. Terry loved to draw and was quite good at portraits. He had a great love for his dogs and helping his family run the El Palomino Motel in Sidney.
On October 22nd, 1991, he was married to Carrie Misegadis and to this union Billy and Jessica were born. Terry loved participating in local sports and even coached little league baseball for his children to help share his passion for these sports. When he wasn’t coaching little league or even umpiring Terry was running the snack shack at the softball fields.
Terry is survived by his father and stepmother Bill and Tina Uhrig of Lincoln, NE, his son and daughter in law Billy and Annie Uhrig of Sidney, NE, his daughter Jessica Uhrig of Burns, WY, stepbrother and stepsister Ryan Andrew and S/O Racheal Oakly and Tammy Blake and S/O Greg of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren Thea, Sophia, and Barry of Sidney, NE, and Jaelynn and Bently of Burns, WY, and numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Uhrig and his Grandson Oliver Uhrig and numerous other family and friends.
