Sharon “Sue” Hall November 8, 1952-February 18, 2024 Sharon “Sue” Hall (Nelson), 71, of Gering, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 with her family by her side.
She was born on November 8, 1952, in Loup County, Nebraska, to Russell and Midgie Alice Nelson. Sue had a fulfilling career as a nurse for numerous doctors, where she found pride and joy in caring for her patients. Her selfless nature extended beyond her profession and into her personal life. Sue was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Sue was known for her hilarious personality and ability to brighten up any room.
She is survived by her son, Russell Fry; her grandchildren, Chelsi (Branden) Copsey and Bradley Fry; her great-grandchildren, Cora Copsey and Alex Fry; her sisters, Deb (Jim) Payne, Laurie (Doug) Hauser, Jackie (Tim) Lordino, and Shelly Hoagland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Russell Nelson; her mother, Midgie Alice (Amos) Nelson; her brother, Gerald Nelson; and the love of her life, Leland Hall. A funeral service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 2:00pm at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff, NE, where she found solace and community. Sue’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to helping others will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
