Rosie A. Cooper, 98 of Harrisburg, died at her home on Saturday, March 11, 2023, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Oshkosh Cemetery in Oshkosh, Nebraska. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Rosie’s Tribute Wall and leave condolences for the family. Memorials may be given to Oshkosh Wesleyan Church or the Kimball E-Free Church. The services for Rosie have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Rosie Angieline Cooper was born in Brule, Nebraska on August 23, 1924, the daughter of William and Roxie (Cranmore) Leeper. She attended high school in Ogallala and Lewellen, and graduated from the Garden County high School in 1942. She married Virgil Cooper on December 15, 1946 and to this union Lilly Ann, Thomas Floyd, Bobby Gene and Roy Lynn were born. She lived most of her life on the family farm in Garden County. Rosie was a school teacher and later worked at the ASCS Office in Oshkosh. She was a member of the Oshkosh Methodist Church. The last nine years of her life she lived in Banner County while being care for by her son Bobby.

Survivors include her daughter Lilly Cooper of Ovid , CO; sons Thomas Cooper of Mason City, NE., Bobby (Barb) Cooper of Harrisburg, NE., and Roy Lynn (Deanne) Cooper of Oshkosh, NE; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
