Rocky Olson, age 67, of Hemingford, Nebraska, passed away peacefully and went to see Jesus on February 15, 2024.
Rocky was born on September 9, 1956 in Alliance, Nebraska to Merton and Helen (Lust) Olson. He attended Box Butte County School and Hemingford High School. He lived on a ranch in Sioux county his whole life, where he was happiest feeding and working with cattle. Rocky had a heart of gold, was very generous, and would help anyone at any time. Fishing and hunting were his favorite hobbies, alongside cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He enjoyed country western music and loved to dance.
Survivors include his brothers, Jim (Diane) Olson of Hemingford and Rick (Bethany) Olson of Scottsbluff; sisters, Lelo (Gary) Hennings of Severance, Colorado and Marlaine (Ted) Jacobs of Scottsbluff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Helen Olson; sister-in-law, Linda Lou Olson; and niece, Delta Dawn Olson.
Services will be at a later time and memorials may be sent to Memorial Park Fund, Hemmingford Community Credit Union, 801 Box Butte Ave, Hemingford, NE 69348.
