Robert Wayne Snyder, formerly of Scottsbluff, passed away October 26, 2023 at his home in Grand Island, NE after years of struggling with Type I Diabetes. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Vine United Methodist Church, 2002 4th Ave. in Scottsbluff, NE with Pastor Craig Collins officiating.
Robert was born on January 13, 1993 in Imperial NE to Robert and Mary (Russell) Snyder. He was raised in Scottsbluff and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 2011 where he excelled in band and bowling. Robert belonged to Boy Scout Troop 13, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After completing high school he worked in various positions with Walmart until 2020. In 2018 Robert moved to central Nebraska to be close to his sister and nephews.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his nephews and was passionate about traveling. He was always excited to plan his next travel destination and loved sharing what he encountered on his trips.
Robert is survived by his mother Mary Snyder (Albert Arrellano); sister Mindy Riebel; brother-in-law Joshua Riebel; step-siblings Meranda, Alyzzia and Steven; nephews Ian and Noah Cress; uncles Tony (Linda) Russell, Stephen (Glenna) Snyder and Paul (Dallas) Snyder; aunt Deanna Hobson and many cousins who loved him.
His is preceded in death by his father Robert Mullin Snyder; sister Angela Christie; uncles Charles Case, Michael Russell and Wayne Russell; aunt Cheryl Eakins; grandparents William and Evelyn Russell, Ruth and Wayne Snyder and cousin Lindsay (Snyder) Lookabill.
