Richard “Rick” Dale Gross, 69 of Gering, Nebraska passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home.
A private family service will be held. At his request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Panhandle Humane Society, Gering Legion Baseball or Juvenile Diabetes Association. Rick was born on April 11, 1954 in Scottsbluff to Neal and Mary Lou (Raines) Gross. He attended Haig School and graduated from Gering High School in 1972.
He worked for the City of Gering for 36 years. He played Gering Legion baseball and men’s fast-pitch softball for many years. Rick was involved in Gering Girls Softball.
Survivors include his wife Robyn; daughter and son-in-law Stevie and Travis Gable; granddaughter Kennie Gable, grandson Bo Gable; niece Cassie Gross and aunt and uncle Linda and Keith Walters.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Toren Gable, mother Mary Lou Gross, father Neal Gross, brother Ron Gross, sister Shari Yung and grandparents Jim and Isabell Gross and Henry and Virginia Raines.
