Pete Ramon Marez, 74 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Regional West Medical Center with his family by his side.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Joseph Thambi officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Family requests casual or Bronco attire be worn. A visitation will be Sunday, July 31 from 4-6pm with a Rosary recited at 6 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Pete was born on August 1, 1947 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Ignacio and Rosie (Sabala) Marez. He graduated from Gering High School and received his chef degree from South East Community College.
He married Mercedes Garcia on July 27, 1983 in Gering, Nebraska and made their home in Scottsbluff.
Pete was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Church.
Survivors include his wife Mercedes Marez of Scottsbluff; children Monique Marez and Aaliyah Marez of Scottsbluff; Mercedes (Michael) Marquez of Scottsbluff; Desiree (Kenneth) Moore of Scottsbluff; Anthony (Jillian) Marez of Scottsbluff; Paula (Dave) Evans of Albuquerque, NM; Mickey Sr (Karen) Marez of Las Vegas, NV; Barbara (Eamon) Monaghan of Scottsbluff; David Marez of Scottsbluff; Veronica (Aaron) O’Brien of Timnath, CO; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rita Marez, brother John Longoria and infant son Daniel Marez.
