Patricia Keller, 92, of Bayard, Nebraska passed away at her home on July 31, 2023. Cremation has taken place, and inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Pat was born March 6, 1931 in Alliance, Nebraska, to Theodore and Eunice (Kirkland) Rice. They relocated to Scottsbluff, where she attended school and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1949. She attended Scottsbluff Junior College and worked at the phone company.
She married Edward C. Keller on March 22, 1953 at the Salem Congregational Church, where they remained members until their deaths. They farmed in the Gering area, and then moved to the Bayard area in 1957, residing there for the rest of their lives.
Pat enjoyed traveling, shopping, slot machines, her pets, movies, reading, keeping up with current affairs, and get-togethers with family, friends, and class of 1949 reunions. She was proud of her years of service with Scotts Bluff County Elections and as a volunteer at Regional West Medical Center gift shop.
She is survived by her daughters, Jana Keller and Karin Keller, both of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Ruby Keller of Gering and Gladys Keller Nelson of Augusta, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Jerry (Peggy) Rice; sister, Sharon Rice; in-laws, Reuben Keller, Elmer (Gladys) Keller, Leo (Helen) Keller, Melvin (Diana) Keller, Gerald Keller, Dick Nelson; nephew, Tom Keller; and niece, Linda Keller Shrader.
