Nancy was born in 1934 to Ray and Lucille Draper in Scottsbluff, NE. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1952 and then attended Barnes Business School in Denver, CO.

In 1953 Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Don Gillam. They spent their first four years in Stuttgart Germany as Don served in the US Air Force. While in Germany, son Mark and daughter Linda were born. After completing Don’s military service, they returned to Scottsbluff and two more daughters, Lori and Holly, joined their family.

Nancy enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom until all the kids were in school. In 1969 Nancy joined the office staff at Floyd’s where she worked full time for the next 20 years.

As well as working full time and being the mother of four very active kids, she served on the City Water Board for Cornet Heights as well as on the Homeowners Association for Scottsbluff Country Club. She was very active in PEO, investment Club, bridge Club, as well as their church and its missions.

Nancy and Don enjoyed square dancing, fishing, and The Rollin Oldies, competing in many Sugar Valley Rally’s (Don driving and Nancy navigating). They loved to travel whether it was in their motorhome or flying to fun destinations.

Nancy’s passions were gardening, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Her attention to detail made her an exceptional quilter. Her beautiful quilts blessed her entire family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don of 68 years and her parents Ray and Lucille Draper.

Nancy is survived by her children Mark Gillam (Karrie), Linda Rabe (Dennis), Lori Riffel (Les) and Holly Boston (Duke); 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and brother Bill Draper (Kathleen).
