Nadynne Jo Schaaf of Scottsbluff, NE, passed away June 3, 2023 at Heritage Estates in Gering, NE. Her Celebration of Life will be 11 AM, Monday, July 3, 2023 at Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Andy Greiss officiating. Casual attire is welcomed. A private family burial will follow the service at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, NE. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Church in Nadynne’s honor. Nadynne Jo Dobbin Schaaf was born November 6, 1929 to Della Myree (Liston) and Jennings Bryan Dobbin the youngest of three daughters, Dorothy Dell, Marilyn and Nadynne. She began her education in Henry, NE moving to Scottsbluff while in Junior High School and graduating from Gering High School in 1948.

She married Harvey E. Meyer while in high school on September 2, 1947 and to this union Dennis Charles (Chuck) and Kathleen Jo (Kathy) were born. They later divorced. She married Lee Phillips on January 5, 1974 until his death on September 16, 1980.

Nadynne worked in banking as a bookkeeper for 29 years retiring from Scottsbluff National Bank. She married George Schaaf on August 12, 1993 and they became members of the Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff. Their ministry for Jesus Christ took them to the local rest homes which they thoroughly enjoyed. They were members of Valley Square Dancers and Pair and Half Paris. They also enjoyed travelling around the area. She was a member of Christian Women’s Club and Red Hat Society.

She is survived by daughter Kathy & Roger Klein of Gering; step-daughter Jennifer Schaaf Harms and step-son Mike & Valerie Schaaf; grandchildren Chris & Faith Cape, Phillip Cape, Lori & Kelly Scott, Lisa Johnston, Lauree Lee Fabricus Russell, Scott & Shar Bernhardt, Janell & Mike Marcoe, Clint & Stephanie Gerlek, Tom & Natalie Oberback, Christopher Schaaf, Derek Schaaf, Becci & Kail Bowman, and Matt & Hilary Klein; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Dennis (Chuck) Meyer; great granddaughter Cheryl Johnston; sisters Dorothy Dell Calloway, Marilyn Squilante; Harvey E. Meyer, Lee Phillips and George Schaaf.
