Marcia J. Opalinski, 65, of Kimball, died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff on Monday, August 8, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to leave condolences and stories for the family. Memorials may be given in her memory to CASA of Scottsbluff. The services for Marcia have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Marcia Jo Opalinski was born on December 10, 1956, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (Reece) Williams. She was raised and graduated from high school in Tonawanda, New York. Following high school she enrolled in Niagara County Community College, where she received her degree in nursing and became a LPN. Marcia was married to Donald Opalinski on October 25, 1980. Marcia had a strong faith and was a prayer warrior for Total Christian Television in New York. She worked at North Gate Manor and later as a dental assistant, receptionist and bookkeeper. Marcia and Donald moved to Ohio and she worked for an Ophthalmologist. They moved to Kimball in 2006 and in 2018, she worked for CASA. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Donald of Kimball, NE; son Wyatt Opalinski of Minatare, NE; daughters Crysta Opalinski of Cheyenne, WY., and Tessa Opalinski of North Platte, NE; grandson Dean Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Mary Ann and Melva.
