Neel Taylor, 84, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home, in the same place he was born, on Wednesday morning, February 7th. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Neel was a Navy and Army veteran. He spent 5 years in the Navy and 6 months in the Army. His oldest daughter, Loretta, and only son, Michael, followed in his footsteps by serving in the Navy. Neel loved when his children and grandchildren visited him every summer for the past 18 years. He loved to play putt, putt, and listen to music while we were there. He adored all the action from his seat on the front porch, all while smoking his beloved cigarettes. He loved his cigarettes and Pepsi!!! And not to forget he loved watching every sport there is to watch, especially tennis and golf! Neel also loved his niece, Rory’s, delicious meals she would bring over for him quite often.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Taylor, daughter’s Loretta Taylor Ferretti and husband Chris Ferretti; Michelle Taylor Pond and Husband Chris Pond; Son Michael Neel Taylor and wife Tarice Taylor. Grandchildren Ashley Giselle Ferretti, Caitlyn Elizabeth Ferretti, Harmony June Pond, Daisy May Pond, and only grandson Taylor Douglas Pond. All reside in North Carolina, except his son, who resides outside of New Orleans. And lots of nieces and nephews.
