Lois Ann Wilkie, age 89, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Residency in Scottsbluff, NE with care giver and beloved niece, Susan Rainey by her side, as well as sister Jeanine Hall.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:30AM at Central Church of Christ in Gering, NE with Pastor Herb Rainey officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, NE. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, NE. Lois was born May 22, 1934 in Chambers, NE, to Art and Opal (McKim) Engelhaupt and was second of her six siblings. In fact, she told her mom if she had another baby girl that she’d take care of her and she was like a momma to Sandy when she was born. Lois enjoyed her childhood, and her sisters confirmed the same. She was baptized at 12 years old at Central Church of Christ in Gering, NE.

Lois as a teenager, Married Floyd Wilkie on July 5, 1950, and they celebrated 67 years together before his passing in 2018. She traveled the world with her U.S Air Force husband, including having and raising three children along the way, and this took her to the Philippians, Germany, Thailand and several locations in the U.S which included Texas, California, New York, Florida, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Once the family settles back in Scottsbluff, NE area, Lois was kept busy working at WNCC, getting her GED, volunteering and working for Scottsbluff County Sheriff Department, and being at the YMCA for years. She loved her home out by Lake Minatare and enjoyed spending time in her yard and pulling weeds. She loved having horses, riding snowmobiles and wave runners, going on trips around the country, as well as spending time with family.

Lois is survived by daughters, Kathy Ann (Donald) Campbell and Cindy Lou (Daniel) Boppse; son, Randall Wayne Wilkie; grandsons, Mark Campbell and Jack Wayne Wilkie; great grandchildren Skylar Campbell, Avery Campbell and Regan Campbell; sisters, Jeanine Hall, Pat (Art) Deys, and Sandra (Bill) Vaughan; and sister-in-law Cheryl Engelhaupt; plus numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd; two sisters, Jan and Louise, one brother, Ron; and two brothers-in-law, Joe and Frank; as well as a grandson, Rick.
