Lee Oral Anders, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Scottsbluff, NE. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Lee’s wishes, there will be a family graveside service at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, WY at a later date. Lee was born on Oct. 12, 1942, in Home City, KS to Oral E. and Mabel A. Whiteside Anders. The family moved from Kansas to Hawk Springs, WY in 1948 and later to Torrington, WY where Lee graduated from high school. While in high school, Lee met Dorothy Trosper. They married in Lingle, WY and together had a son Tim and daughter Tammy. After living in Colorado and South Dakota for a short time, they moved to Scottsbluff and have resided there since 1966.

Lee purchased the Lindsay Soft Water Company in 1969 which he owned and operated for 20+ years. Lee had a wonderful hobby of antique and collectible cars. In 1997 he turned an old gas station into a 50’s fun place called Rt 26 Mart consisting of The Original Submarine Sandwich Shop and a gas and convenience store with a ’57 Chevy on top.

He enjoyed his Rollin Oldies Car Club and had fun helping for many years with the Sugar Valley Rally. Lee loved to travel, and he and Dottie were fortunate to have visited many different countries and traveled many side roads while exploring.

Lee is survived by his wife Dottie; son Tim (Fadra) Anders of Prescott Valley, AZ; daughter Tammy Anderson of Scottsbluff; grandchildren Tiasha Anderson, Bailee Nelson, and Kory Anders; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Dr. Frank Anders and Dale Anders; sister Georgia Slagle; and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother, and 2 grandsons Tyrell Anderson and Trenton Anderson.
