Judith Joan Freouf, 82, born on July 30, 1941, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2023, after a very brief battle with cancer. Services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at The Vine Methodist Church in Scottsbluff. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to CASA of Scotts Bluff County in her name. Online condolences may be made by viewing Judi’s memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Bridgman Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service is entrusted with arrangements.

Judi was born an only child in Loup City, NE to Milo and Eva Alvira (White) Roach. She grew up in Scottsbluff and graduated in 1959 from Scottsbluff High School. She married the love of her life Dean Freouf on November 10, 1960, and had three children: Scotty, Kimberly, and Melissa. As her children grew up, she was a second mom to many others as well. She was always involved with her children’s activities including everything from being a Cub Scout den mother to driving across the state to cheer on her daughter’s sporting events.

Judi spent her life always giving to others, starting with her family. She had the best advice and it was always to “take the high road”. She worked at various jobs doing accounting and eventually co-owning The Gambler Bar and becoming well-known for her great food, especially her pork chili.

She was always giving back to others and the community. She was a member of Jayceettes years ago and later was in PEO Chapter HN, Foster Care Review Board, Theater West Board, and a Midwest Theater volunteer. She was a CASA volunteer for many years and made a significant difference in the lives of many children and families.

Judi was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and served faithfully in many ways until the end. She was known for her amazing desserts and was always available to help with the youth programs and VBS each year.

Judi was blessed to have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She took care of everyone in so many ways. She was always there to talk, laugh, and cry to and was always the optimist. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Milo and Alvira Roach, her mother and father-in-law Alma (Berry) Freouf and Noah Freouf, her son-in-law Donald Iasillo, and her special aunt and uncle Genevieve and Kenneth Dorsey.

She is survived by her husband of almost 63 years Dean, children Scott Freouf, Kim Freouf (Ray Guteta), and Missi Iasillo, her grandchildren James Freouf, Stacy Freouf (AJ Green), and Dawson Iasillo, her great-grandchildren Scout and Ruby Green, brother and sister-in-law Nola and Ray Wood and nephews, Bob (Carrie) Wood and Todd (Beth) Wood. She also will be missed by many close cousins and great nieces and nephews, especially Kenny and Barb Dorsey.
