(Evertson) Modlin. She was raised on the family farm north of Bushnell which still belongs to the family.

She received her education from the Bushnell Schools, graduating in 1958. On January 23, 1959 Janet

was married to Rich Wasielewski and they raised Kent, DeVota, and Keith on the family farm. Rich

preceded Janet in death in 1978. She later married Donald Mulvihill, who preceded her in 2005. Janet

was an active member of the Starlighters extension club for many many years. Her enthusiasm for

bowling was infectious, she could always be found at the bowling alley on Tuesday mornings and then

she joined the Wednesday grandparent’s league. Her involvement didn’t stop there, she was also an

integral part of the Bushnell First Responders, Bushnell Fire Department and a Charter member of the

Bushnell Fire Belles and Red Hatters. Her dedication to these groups was unwavering, whether it was

responding to a fire or being first on the scene to help someone in need. Janet was also an amazing

cook, she would volunteer to prepare the meals with the different organizations she belonged to for the

Bushnell Lions Club. Janet helped make pies at the Eagles for many years. She is known for her Peanut

Butter Pies, which is how she would meet her future husband Don Mulvihill. Janet would let her spiritual

side shine by doing Bible Study, teaching Sunday school and Bible School at the Bushnell Methodist

Church where she has been a member for around 70 years. Her talents weren’t confined to just the

church and various organizations, she loved doing all kinds of crafts, crocheting and ceramics which she

loved to share with family and friends. Janet loved playing cribbage. She enjoyed teaching her

grandchildren to play. Her and Don played cribbage nearly every morning. She also spent hours and

hours putting together jigsaw puzzles. She loved collecting – her collections included windmills, wolves,

angels, Boston Terriers, chili peppers and others. Janet also got to do some traveling, she got to go to

Israel, London, Egypt, Caribbean Cruise, Alaska and several other places. Janet will be missed by her
