On Friday, May 3, 2024, the world lost a shining light when Jaimin Rashaan Mesa, age 29, tragically left this earth due to an auto accident in Banner County, Nebraska. His departure has left a void that can never be filled but his memory will forever be cherished. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, at Chuck Wagon Church, 1408 East 12th Street, Scottsbluff, Nebraska with Albert Bustinza officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be made in care of the family and will be designated at a later date. Jaimin was born on March 10, 1995, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Catrina Diaz and Andy Munoz. He was a talented soul who pursued education both in Scottsbluff and Littleton, Colorado.
Jaimin’s creativity knew no bounds; he effortlessly connected with people during his time at Taco Bell in Scottsbluff and thrived as an entrepreneur in the art world. As the CEO of Unknown Source, he delved into various artistic mediums and touched the hearts of many through his creations. Music was Jaimin’s passion – from writing and composing to producing and creating instrumentals. His talents extended beyond music into graphic and art design. Jaimin was a beacon of inspiration for thousands through his social media content creation and his genuine care for his listeners stood out amidst the crowd. While art was his profession, family and friends were his true treasures. He shared a special bond with his “Pops” Beej and valued every moment spent learning from him. Jaimin’s dear friend Roli Sabala described him, “He was One of One.” Jaimin was consistent and made time every single day to create. He cared about his listeners and followers more than vanity, metrics, and numbers. He had a heart beyond gold. Jaimin was an eccentric visionary who saw beyond the patterns of this world he didn’t conform to and didn’t falter from his faith in His Creator. He inspired everyone to be themselves, to lead and not follow.
Jaimin’s smile was a ray of sunshine that could light up a room, and his charisma was a gift from the divine. According to the dictionary, charisma is a personal quality that captivates and inspires others, and Jaimin had it in abundance. His compassion and empathy made everyone feel seen and heard, leaving a lasting impression that transcended brief encounters. He had a way of making everyone he met feel special, and his encounters with others were truly unforgettable. As an artist and a creative spirit, his art, music, and heart are the legacy he leaves behind. He empowered others to embrace their own creativity and inner beauty, ensuring his spirit endures as a source of inspiration and hope. The love he shared with those close to him and even those he just met will remain forever imprinted on our hearts.
Jaimin leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will forever be remembered by those who survive him. Survivors include his beloved parents, Robert “Beej” and Catrina Diaz; siblings, Caleese Ramirez, Adrick Munoz, Sadrick Munoz, and Cristian Diaz; daughter, Aida Montez (Mesa); biological father, Andy Munoz; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Carmen Mesa; aunts and uncles, Letica (Israel) Lopez, Andrea Mesa (Rodney Ybarra), Jessica (Michael) Millikin, Annie Mesa, Stella (Fili) Zamarripa, and Jonas (Sonja) Munoz; cousins, David Lopez (Isabella, Anna, and Nicolas) and Francesca Lopez (Carmella), Kiyarra (Lucas) and Kishon Contreras, Micah Jordan, Adelina Millikin, Jayce and Marley Wilkinson, Jett, Jaxton, and Jamison Mesa, Fabian Zamarripa, and Cruz and Sergio Munoz. He was dedicated to the Lord by his surviving Godparents, Fred and Dora Lucius; and God brothers, Fredrick and Joshua Lucius. Jaimin is also survived by special friends, Roli Sabala of Denver, CO, and Chance Maseuli, Danny Gea, and Jonah Wong all of Orem, UT.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Estaban and Adelina Gonzales and Crispin Mesa; paternal grandmother, Stella Castillo; great uncle, Angel Mesa; and great aunts, AnnaJean Alderette and Linda Ramirez.
In the wake of this immense loss, let us remember Jaimin not with sorrow but with gratitude for having known such a remarkable person. May his spirit continue to inspire us all to embrace our individuality and spread love wherever we go. Rest in peace, Jaimin Rashaan Mesa.
