Glenda Lacy passed on August 9, 2023 at her home in Gering, Nebraska. She was born on April 27, 1937 in Sidney, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sid Greenlee; mother, Helen Greenlee; son, Bryan Lacy; and her husband, Robert A. Lacy.
She is survived by her brother, Brent Greenlee; sons, Tony and Mike of Scottsbluff and Gering and Brad Lacy of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Colleen, Tyler, and Charity; in addition to 9 great-grandchildren.
She was married to Robert on November 1, 1958. They loved to camp and fish.
Glenda was the program director at the Child Development Center in Scottsbluff for 45 years. She dedicated that time and more to the education and development of mental and physically challenged children. She was always a staunch advocate for anything that could help them. She was also very active in several church organizations, including teaching Sunday school.
Glenda was a strong vibrant woman. She was always happiest when serving family, mankind, and The Lord. We will miss her.
Memorial donations may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. A celebration of life service will be held for Glenda on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Grams officiating, and the committal will be at Fairview Cemetery.
