Georgia Kelley, 83, passed away November 27th in Phoenix, Arizona. Georgia was born on March 8, 1939 in Scottsbluff, NE to parents Geroge and Martha Gerlock. She was one of two children. She grew up in Scottsbluff her entire life, and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1957. Georgia had a wonderful sense of humor, loved her classmates, and her class reunion group. They met often to catch up and plan their reunions often.

After graduating Georgia married Raymond Nation in 1959. To this union two children were born, Jacqueline Nation (Brill) 1962, and James Nation 1965. Georgia was a stay at home mother and wife, while Raymond was a mason with his brothers. Later on in life, Georgia got into the banking business and worked for several years at various banks. She enjoyed helping people and working with numbers.

Georgia was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Dementia towards the end of her life. She relocated to Phoenix to be in a specialized living facility near her sister. Georgia was a tough lady and had lots of challenges in her life, but nevertheless she overcame them.

Georgia is survived by her two children, her daughter, Jacqueline Brill (Jarvis Brill), her son James Nation both of Scottsbluff. Her sister Beverly Heilbrun (Larry Heilbrun) of Phoenix Arizona. Three Grandchildren, Amanda Cozad(Kirby Cozad) Chelsea Perez(Daniel Perez) and Tehya Baldwin, and one Great Grandson Quintyn Perez. Her beloved dog, Lucy, and several nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life originally scheduled at Georgia’s favorite restaurant, El Charrito, for December 15th has been cancelled due to the weather, and will be rescheduled at a later date.
