George Christian Jensen, 74, Scottsbluff

George Christian Jensen, 74, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away on February 15th in his home, surrounded by his family. He battled a long, hard fight with pulmonary lung disease and now gets to breathe easy in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

George was born on September 15, 1949 to George J. and Ellen (Pedersen) Jensen in Holdrege, NE. Shortly after his birth, they lived in Eugene Oregon until he turned 10 years old at which time his family moved back to Nebraska. After Graduating from Axtell High School, He went on to major in Pharmacology at the University of Nebraska and received his pharmacy License in 1973. He went on to practice pharmacy over the years, and had the joy of working at many respected pharmacies across Nebraska until he retired at 62 due to the beginning of his illness. After retirement he got to spend some time working at Summit Christian College where he was able to expand his knowledge on God’s word.

In 2000 George met and married his soulmate Sheila, and they combined their lives and made a home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. George inherited 4 step-children for whom he was handpicked by God to become part of our family. We are so grateful for the way he deeply loved his wife and every member of his family. He was a blessing and a heart healing gift and we will treasure all the moments we got with him. He had a funny quip to say just at the right time and he was so very loved by his family and friends. We will miss you so much Pops!

He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Jensen, Scottsbluff, NE; mother Ellen Jensen, Yankton ,SD; Sister LoAnn Fisher, Yankton, SD; Children Rodd Hall (Nancy) Scottsbluff, NE; Tim Hall (Natasha) Omaha, NE; Tanya Bosche (Ryan) Gering, NE; Kimberly VanWingerden (Nate) Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren Ashley Jones (Cody), Maddison Armstrong (Chris), Malayah Hall , Azariah Hall, Dahlia Hall, Ethan Bosche (girlfriend Allison), Ella Bosche, Hadley VanWingerden, Gavin VanWingerden, and Dax VanWingerden; Great Grandchildren Charlie Armstrong, Hazel Armstrong, and Isaac Ossian-Bosche; Sister in law Tina Castro (Phillip); Brother in law Roger Fahlbusch as well as many nieces and nephews and beloved family friends including his special pets Scout and Sadie.

He is preceded in Death by his Father George J. Jensen, Father in Law Albert Fahlbusch, Mother in Law Mary Jane Fahlbusch, and Sister Petrea Jensen.
