Elisabeth (Betty) Reuter, 97 of Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Morrill County Community Hospital. Per her requests, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM on April 27, 2024 at the Church of Christ, 314 W. 7th Street, Bridgeport, NE 69336. Memorials can be made to the Church of Christ or Bridgeport Alumni Association Scholarship fund, P.O. Box 901, Bridgeport, NE 69336. A private family grave site service will be held at a later date. Betty and her twin brother Herman Jr. were born April 15, 1926 in the family home in Bancroft, NE. Betty’s parents were Herman Blome, Sr. and Lana (Abendroth) Blome. All nine children were born in the family home south of Bancroft, NE with the same doctor and Grandmother, a midwife. In 1937 the family moved to Bridgeport, NE where they lived on the Camp Clark Ranch west of Bridgeport, NE. Betty attended a little one room school house west of the ranch until the school closed. The remainder of her school years were in Bridgeport, NE graduating in the class of 1944.
Betty married Henry Tilden in June 1944, he passed away February 1947.
In September 1950, Betty married Leonard Reuter. To this union four children were born John, William (Geraldine), Lynn and Susan (Steve) Smith.
Betty is preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, four brothers Lewis, Eugene, Herman Jr. and Willis George, four sisters, Gladys Nichols, Donna Amateis, Joyce Whitaker, Joan Woods.
Survivors include her children and grandchildren Dakotah and Carson (Leah) Reuter, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew her.
