Dustin A. Russell, age 45, of Minatare, Nebraska, died on January 26, 2023, in Washington County, Illinois. He will be laid to rest with his father, George Russell, at the Redington cemetery at a later date. He was born November 27, 1977, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to George and Vickie (Patterson) Russell, and received his early education in the Savanah, Missouri, school system, graduating from Savanah High School. He was a truck driver who loved his job and being on the road. Dustin also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest love was for his kids, who were his whole world.
Survivors include his mother, Vickie Shoemaker; step-father, Frank Shoemaker; sons, James, Ryan, and Gabe Russell; daughter, Victoria Russell; and sister, Kelly Gain.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Russell; grandparents, Emma and Roy Patterson; and several aunts and cousins all from St. Joseph, Missouri.
