Dorothy Lucille Kuntz, 93, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away on December 25, 2022. She was born October 17, 1929 to Jake and Frieda (Lohrie) Gettman. Dorothy graduated from Scottsbluff High School and attended Chadron State College prior to teaching school in rural Scotts Bluff County. Dorothy married Clarence S. Kuntz in Scottsbluff on January 11, 1948. They farmed north of Scottsbluff. Dorothy and Clarence were members of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Diana Clark and Debra (Dave) Ryan, grandsons Jayson, Rodney, Corey, Kelley, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brother Bill (Sandra) Gettman, sister Caroline Hall, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Clarence, sister Elaine Kling, and infant grandson Jeffrey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5 at 10:30 am at St. John’s Lutheran church, Scottsbluff with the Rev. Jeffery Grams officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with a reception after at St. John’s.
