Dorothy E Lee, 80 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Highland Park in Alliance.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Gering Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation, casket will be closed. A memorial has been established for the Memory Care Unit at the Highland Park Care Center. Dorothy was born on June 24, 1942 in Stapleton, Nebraska to Joseph A and Mary C. (Morgan) Main. She attended school in North Platte, Nebraska. She married Charles “Charlie” Lee on November 19, 1977 at the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff. They made their home in Scottsbluff.
Dorothy worked at Regional West Medical Center and Western Nebraska Veterans Home for many years retiring in 2008.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff and the Warehouse Fitness Center. Dorothy loved to exercise and walk. She enjoyed fishing with her family and riding horses.
Survivors include her husband Charlie Lee; children Bob Cross and Ellery (Angela) Cross; grandchildren Aaron Cross and Nicole McMillon, Amy Cross, Bobby Cross and JD Cross and Sarah (Cross) Tower; great grandchildren Kolton, Weston and Elliri Cross and Matthew, Castiel and Aurielle McMillion; siblings Donna Brockel, Loretta Hughes and Betty Watson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Travis Cross and siblings Virgil, Darrell, Mabel, Shirley and Lucille.
