Donna Louise Kisler 90 of Scottsbluff, passed away at Wel Life in Scottsbluff on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at High Butte Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastors Jeff and April Fiet officiating. Donna was born July 15, 1932 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Andrew and Esther (Miller) Ruff. Donna attended school in Bridgeport and Whitney, Nebraska. She then moved to Chadron where she graduated from Chadron High School in 1950.

Donna was united in marriage to Johnnie Kisler February 1, 1953 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. They made their home in rural McGrew, where they raised their three sons and continued to farm until 1986 when they retired from farming and moved to Gering.

For many years Donna read for the blind. She was employed for Pappas Trucking from 1978 until retiring in 1988.

Donna was a devoted farm wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. Donna and Johnnie spent many Saturday nights dancing the night away. Donna deeply enjoyed time with her sisters, laughing like school girls and reminiscing about their vacations to Hawaii, New York and many weekend trips. She loved spending time with the grandkids and baking all their favorite goodies.

Donna was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff where she served as an elder.

Survivors include: sons John of Gering, Scott of Denver and Dan (Elaine) of McGrew; granddaughters Kelli (Travis) Neiger, Alisha (Keith) Rodriguez; great grandchildren Brandon and Jordyn Neiger, Angel and Rheya Rose Rodriguez; sister Shirley Nelson of Omaha and sister in law Jo Kisler of Scottsbluff and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie, infant great grandson, sisters Betty Pappas, Eunice Davis, Carrol Jean Harmon, Janice Kanies and brother Roger.
