On April 9, 2023, Donna Grounds Hansen, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 86. Services are pending, and will be in Colorado at a later date. Fond memories and condolences may be shared on www.dugankramer.com for the Grounds family.
Donna was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Roy Fisk and Mable Backman, and received her early education in Victor, Colorado. She married Kenneth Leon Hansen Sr. of IBEW Local 12 Pueblo, Colorado, on February 7, 1953 in Raton, New Mexico, and they made their home in Pueblo where she worked for District 60 Food service and Pattie’s Restaurant. Her passions included music, bowling, darts, and cooking. She cherished her family more than anything in the world and was deeply cherished back. She will be greatly missed.
Donna’s survivors include: son, David Hansen (Sheila Heimerl) of Castle Rock, Colorado; daughter, Susan and Richard VanderVeen of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Grandchildren: Melissa Hansen of Pueblo, Colorado, Kayla Autobee of Grand Island, Nebraska, Derek Autobee of Dubuque, Iowa, Zachary Autobee and his girlfriend, Megan Ehlers of York, Nebraska, Ryan and Tori Autobee of York, Nebraska, Tori Hansen and Bruce McQueen of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Kristsen Hansen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kaleb Hansen of Gillette, Wyoming; Great-Grandchildren: Anavey Ray, Zander Staab, Laila Seaton, Madisyn Autobee, Hailie Steinbrink, Aubree Carslen, Bennett Autobee, Beau Autobee, MadiLynn Hayes, Bentley Studnicka, Aaliyah Autobee, Haxtun Autobee, Isabella Hansen, JaQari McQueen, Jayah, McQueen, JaCere McQueen, Kyndall Sprague, Paige Sprague, Boston Sobieszyk; and numerous Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was blessed with a great-great-grandson, Mateo Torres (mother, Isabella Hansen), who she was so happy to meet before her passing.
