She was born September 10, 1929, and attended school in Morrill. She graduated from Morrill High School in 1947.

She married Raymond Samuel Jackson on June 12, 1948 at the First United Methodist Church in Morrill, NE. Together they took over the family wheat farm. They lived and farmed south of Stegall for their entire lives. She was a devoted farmer’s wife tending to the children and home while supporting Raymond in the field. She took countless meals to the field during harvest. Ray and Donna took their harvested wheat and established Sleepy Hollow Mills Whole Wheat Flour company in 1995. She was an excellent baker. Homemade pies, angel food cake and cinnamon bread were her specialty. She always made her family their favorite pie for birthdays, and it was always made with love.

Ray and Donna Faye loved to go square dancing, golfing and enjoyed playing cards. They were members of the Nebraska Wheat Growers Association. Donna Faye enjoyed reading, painting, ceramics and knitting in her free time. All of the kids and grandkids owned a pair of knitted slippers from her. Like any great Nebraskan she was an avid Husker fan! She was a woman with a strong faith and an active member in the Morrill United Methodist Church. She didn’t know a stranger and she didn’t shake hands, she gave hugs!

Left to cherish her memory are children Kris (John) Ferguson of York, Ne, Andrew Jackson, of Bozeman, MT and daughter-in-law Kay Jackson of Lyman, NE. Grandchildren Brett (Nicole) Jackson, Jennifer Jackson McCarter (Tom Wood), Jason (Jennifer) Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Benjamin (Michelle) Jackson, Jaclyn (Brian) Walth, and Kara (Sean) Herlihy.
