Donald Dewaine Keller, 88, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, in Scottsbluff. A private family interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Helping Hands Home Care. An open house reception in Don’s honor will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Gering Civic Center from 4-6 pm. Don was born June 7, 1934, in Scottsbluff, NE to Henry H. and Katherine B. Keller. He was raised and attended school in Scottsbluff, graduated in 1953. He married Roberta Brown in 1954 and to this union was born Rick Keller and Deborah Keller.
He worked for Vern Bruce and Z&W until he started his own business in 1968, Keller Appliance Service. He retired in 2003.
He married Marcia Adams Hayes in 1981 where he gained stepchildren Kirk Hayes and Christine Hayes.
He was active in Legion Baseball, Town Team Baseball, Jaycees, bowling and boating with a cabin at the North Platte Valley Boat Club and later in life golfing. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Scottsbluff Country Club and Gering Golf Course. He was a current member of First United Methodist Church. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels with his wife Marcia for several years.
Don is survived by his wife Marcia; son Rick (Judy) and daughter Debbie (Sue); stepson Kirk (Tiffanie) and stepdaughter Christine (Brian); 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Katie Keller; sister and brother-in-law Helen and Walt Loose; nephew Larry Loose and brother Gordon Keller.
