Dixie D Hauser was called home to be with Jesus on May 18, 2023.
A family graveside service will be held on June 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Scottsbluff Berean Bible Church or Panhandle Humane Society. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com for the Hauser family. Dixie was born on January 9, 1937 in Gordon, Nebraska to William Shelly and Viola (Cardwell) Shelly. She was raised in a large family n the Gordon area and attended public school there.
1953 Dixie married the Love of her Life, Floyd (Jake) Hauser. They made their home in Banner County on Rogers Ranch and began their family.
In 1975, Dixie and her family moved to Gering, where she worked various jobs before retirement.
She is survived by her sons Doug (Laurie) Hauser of Gering and Steve (Tamaris) Hauser of Gering; grandsons Jeremy (Tia) Hauser of Florida, Travis (Christa) Hauser of Wyoming; granddaughter Cassy (Matt) Taylor of Washington, and Micky (Richard) Evans of Gering; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren plus another great great grandchild due in November and sister Jan Livingston of Gering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 10 siblings and her beloved husband Jake.
