Debbie Cowan, 57 of Gering, Nebraska passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Regional West Medical Center surrounded by immediate family.

Her memorial service will be held on September 9 at 1:00 pm at Grace Chapel with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com for Cowan family.

Debbie was born on October 23, 1965 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Glen W and Inez Ash. She received her early education in the Gering Schools, graduating from Gering Senior High School.

She married Scott Van Winkle June 21, 1986, they made their home in Scottsbluff. They later divorced.

On April 1, 1996, she married Patrick Cowan, they later divorced. She later was in a long term relationship with Ronnie Judd, they were together for 20 years!

Survivors include daughter Chantel and Kevin and grandchildren Alexander and Kiera McCathern; son Scott, Jr and Michelle (Tow) and grandchildren Justin and Hanna Van Winkle; son Joeseph and grandchildren Shevelle, Novalynn and Bentley Van Winkle; daughter Natausha (Cowan) and spouse Skylar Brannan and grandchildren Liam Cowan and Lili Meyer; step children Sara (Tommy) Judd, Josh Keller, Veronica Judd, Michaela Miller, Jacob Gonzalez, Tara North along with numerous grandchildren; mother Inez Burton, numerous siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Glen Burton, grandmother Inez Scofield, late husband Scott Van Winkle and numerous aunts and uncles.

She was a member of Campfire USA and 4-H. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, collect recipes, coloring, collecting unicorns, shopping at Dollar General, for most spending time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, going camping and spending time at the lake with family and friends. She loved holidays and made sure all the kids had gifts and smiles. She enjoyed going to Sturgis.

Debbie always wanted to make sure her family stayed connected and loved them very much.
