Darlene was born December 8th, Stockton, California to Alec and Katie (Martin) Satur. She was the youngest child of four. The family moved later to Scottsbluff where Darlene grew up and received her education at Scottsbluff High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Gorr on June 17th, 1956. They started farming west of Scottsbluff and then moved to Huntley, WY for a few years. Then they moved to the Lake Alice community north of Scottsbluff, where they raised their two boys, Robert Jr. and Michael. Darlene lived on the farm there until she moved into Monument Rehabilitation and Care Center until her passing. Darlene was a wonderful cook and a hard worker. She helped Bob on the farm, driving trucks during beet harvest and silage. She was known to hoe bean fields if it was needed. She also, worked outside of the home, helping in the cafeteria at Lake Alice and Sunflower which she enjoyed a lot! After the boys were grown, she went to work at Sweetbriars store and then at Western National Bank, where she worked for 17 years until she retired. She was a woman of excellence in everything she did, it was well done, whether decorating her home or working in her garden and yard, or all of her other jobs, she was a great example to us all.

Darlene is survived by husband Robert of Scottsbluff, NE; sons Robert (Dori) Gorr of Fort Laramie, WY and Michael Gorr of Scottsbluff, NE; brother Harold Satur of Greeley, CO; sister Donna Jo Meter of Scottsbluff, NE; grandchildren Nicholas Gorr, April Simmons, and Heston Gorr.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Leroy Satur.
