Darlene Ellen Allen, age 88, of Scottsbluff, who passed away at 7:05pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Heritage Estates.

Her Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at First Assembly of God in Scottsbluff with Reverend Leroy Wyre and Reverend Michael Schaff officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. She was born March 19, 1935, in St. Frances, Kansas to Howard Owen & Mildred Jennie Winter.

She was married August 5, 1955 to the former Reverend Troy Allen of the Scottsbluff & Mitchell First Assemblies of God churches. Darlene was a Pastor’s wife, Prayer Warrior, Mentor to women of other congregations and a Homemaker. She was a loving mother, who valued family alongside her Savior. Having had deaf gran, and knowing some Sign Language, she was instrumental at developing that Ministry. She taught her children to sing in four-part harmony.

Only two months ago, she brought a 107 year old woman to the Lord. Darlene was a woman of strong faith and conviction to the very end.

Her surviving siblings include her 95 year old brother Owen Winter of Seattle, WA and her 84 year old sister Anita Winter Travis of Dunnegan, MO. She is survived by her 4 children: Mark (Lizzie) Allen of Nashville, TN, Kirk Allen of Kirkland, WA, Byron Allen and friend Michelle Serl of Scottsbluff, NE, and Connie Allen Morris of Scottsbluff, NE. She was the grandmother to 6 grandchildren: Mandi Laing of Davenport, IA, Drew Allen of Denver, CO, Lindsay Elizando of Kansas City, MO, Cassidy Morris and Caitlyn Morris of Scottsbluff, NE, Trevor Allen of Scottsbluff, NE. She also had one Great-grandson Bowie Laing of Davenport, IA.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Troy, and siblings Leatha, Donald, Marlene and Wesley.
