A graveside inurnment service for Dana Kawaguchi, age 70, of Mitchell, Nebraska, who died January 2, 2023, at his home, will be held on Friday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Mitchell Valley Cemetery with Rebekah Burford officiating. Dana was born July 11, 1952, in Scottsbluff, to Tom and Shigeko (Yoshimi) Kawaguchi, and he graduated from Scottsbluff High School, after which he received his associates from Western Nebraska Community College. He married JoAnn Fowler on May 25, 1974, in Gering, and they made their home in Scottsbluff.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; sons, Jon (Shauna) and Greg; daughter, Elizabeth (Ryan) Chrisman; brother, Rick (Debbie Dixon); and grandkids, Jordan, Britton, Aiden, Zac, and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and sister; brothers, Fred and Paul; and twin brother, Alan.
